Those experiences taught me invaluable lessons in leadership, resilience, and unwavering commitment. In the face of adversity, I learned the true meaning of teamwork and mission command, skills that have been the foundation of my career ever since.

After my time in the military, I took on a new challenge: transforming my family’s 130-year-old fruit farming business, Bardsley England. Over eight incredible years, I spearheaded a strong growth trajectory, scaling the business by 1400%. It wasn’t just about growth; it was about building a great brand, culture and challenging the status quo. As a result we set a new standard in the industry. My vision and strategic acumen helped position Bardsley England as an industry leader, culminating in a successful sale of the business in 2021.

It’s a formidable challenge, but one I’m deeply committed to having been a frustrated farmer myself. Our food system has the potential to be a powerful force for good, and I’m dedicated to driving that change.

Having been a farmer myself, I know the pain, struggle and effort it takes to put food on plates. This deep understanding of the food system’s complex problems provides the foundations BX needs to deliver on our mission of restoring the planet for future generations.
